I live very rural and am working on install options without wifi. I have dial-up. JB'd 3G touch.
Got cyder and access to various sources - (saurik, modmyi, etc.)

    From somewhere I read....
This is mobileterminal - right? I have mobileterminal_364.1-10_iphoneos-arm.deb
    BUT.... how to install mobileterminal?

Or, is there an alternate way to install deb files?

hallo, you can put the deb files via /private/var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall then reboot, it should install them when your device boots up, then respring/reboot again to take effect

    thanks toink
I have yet to reboot after jailbreaking - another (small?) hurdle. One I think I need to take. I mean, it will happen eventually. Why not now.

I see ifile is a paid app thru cydia - wifi again.! dang. Not the money, just the technology. I'll get to the library sometime soon

Yes, I spotted that but I still need either the deb or ipa download URL - non wifi. I think I need at least one wifi connect just to get the ball rolling.

BTW - it is good to see "3.1.3. jailbroken" data under quite a few user-details.

    thanks
