.deb file

    i am trying to make a .deb file on ubuntu 9.04 but every time i type in dpkg-deb -b "Name of Project" (not actual name) it says that contol permissions are bad (777) need to be 755. can someone help me change the permissions

    chmod 755 /path/to/file

    do u have to type for example /home/user/Desktop/file.txt or do u just have to type /home/user/Desktop/

    just the file you need. no need to grant other files full permissions.
