    Hello,

My 16gb refurbished iPhone 3G suddenly has these rows of dead pixels. I took it back (as it is still under warranty) however it would not be repaired as the found evidence the the screen had been pushed up against something. They then offered to repair it at a ridiculous price

. My question is do you think it will get any worse (more dead pixels) ? And what do you think may have caused it ?

    Thanks

    George

well my mate droped his ipod nd the glass craked so he replaced it him self and he touched the pixels or something and it looks the same as what u have
but if u havent droped it or puched the screen they should see that u havent dont anything that would cause it
try different stores or by doing it online
i had some stuck pixels but it was only like 2 single pixels and i just sent it back to apple nd they gave me a new ipod

If you didn't drop it or anything, just go back and keep insisting your right. Eventually they should cave.

Cheers for your suggestions but i'm in Australia !!!!! I contacted a few repairs and showed them the photo's they also said it's pressure related. Possible the LCD is the same one from the previous owner (its' refurbished) ?? Anyways it only $99 AUD ($88USD) for a new LCD installed by a repairer or a bit less if I do it myself, so if it does get any worse i'll get it done.

Say you never had these issues with your Blackberry or Android device (even if you never had one). That got me a replacement for my old 3G when I was a month out of the replacement period.
