I was just looking on my screen and noticed there are heaps of white tiny pixels when viewed on a black screen.

Is this normal due to it being touch screen?

Make sure your not mistaking them for dust particles.

Give it a wipe with a dry soft cleaning cloth and see if they disappear. I thought my 22" Samsung Syncmaster was full of 'em until I gave it a clean

If that doesn't work, I heard you can "massage" dead pixels "back to life" if you gently rub around each dead pixel with, again, a dry soft cleaning cloth. I've never tried this though.

Not with the iPod Touch (just got it today, but still at work). It worked for PC for me and it worked on my friends PSP and DS.

Ya, mine is like that too. definitly not dust, i tried wiping it with the cloth over and over again. its lots of white dead pixels that you can easily see when your on the home page.

You guys scared me for a sec, but after giving the closest look to my screen, I can say that it's perfectly mint. I really think you two should return those iPods.

yes, you have dead pixels. no, its not because its a touch screen, but rather because its a rushed production, bottom of the line Apple quality screen.

nearly all the iPoTs have a few dead pixels, i notice mine very seldom. many of the people in this forum claim they have perfect screens, but they are actually just too un-attentive to notice the dead/stuck pixels.

if you have LOTS, take it back and exchange it.

That's right, you gotta be really attentive to see those dead pixels. In fact, it's almost impossible to notice them the most of the time. I can now see something from 20 to 40 dead pixels on my touch's screen.
