i cant find it on google!!

im going to be installing leopard 10.5.2 on my pc tonight, and i want to dual boot it with xp.

i have recovery disks for xp, and tonight ill have the kalyway 10.5.2 dvd.

the computer right now has a fresh install of xp, im going to go in and make 2 partitions on my 160gb hard drive. probably 80/80.

im following a guide on how to do this, and i have everything but the bootloader, where can i find one?

i cant find darwin bootloader, and that seems best way to do it.

any help is appreciated much! thanks

The Darwin Boot Loader is included with your install of Kalyway AMD Intel 10.5.2. When you boot and see the "Press F8 etc" That is part of the Darwin Boot Loader.

ok watcha do is - boot the kalyway disk then

make two partitions make one Mac OS HFS Journaled and the other FAT - give each one a one word name!

Now install leopard on the one for OS X

    Now after intro/setup

Install Windows onto the other partition - you are gonna find that you will only be able to boot into Windows

Go into Windows and hit Start - Run - cmd

Now type "diskpart" ( no quotes )

    now type 'list disk'

    then

'select disk X' where X is the number of the disk with the partition that has OS X on it

    now type ' list part'

    then

'select part X' where X is the partition OS X is on

    now type ' active'

    and reboot!

There ya go Darwin Bootloader! You now have a working dual booting XP - and - Leopard!

ive already made 2 partitions, both 80gb, and xp already installed on one.

i was just going to make the kalyway disk and boot from it, install leo on the other partition.

    that would work right?

NEVER partition your hard drive using the Disk Utility included on the osx86 install disk.

I don't realy know why, but while reading the insanelymac forums, I came across hundreds of posts that said not to use it.

Dont believe him - I have used it on several computers and no problems at all! Those people are probably dumbasses that think Mac OS X Leopard is a big cat with a mac.

Hmmm...I've always taken the recommended precautions and formatted my partition as FAT32 prior to booting up the install disc. I guess you could go either way.
