I'm looking for suggestions for mobile phone back covers/battery covers that coul be given the DarthPod treatment. The parts need to be stainless steel, so keep that in mind when making suggestions.

it's been out for a while, it's probably too old to bother with now.

Tell you what i'd love. A psp back/battery cover in the gold titanium. Yummy.

Edit: Oh the whole part has to be stainless steel? Well the ring around the PSP logo on the back is stainless steel i think. That'd look cool in shiny black/gold.

PSP/DS aren't stainless steel. If you do end up making a PSP one, by making every part again, Idk if I will have the money, but I know I would love one.

Perhaps one of the iPhones? 1.0 or 3G?

    (1.0 is aluminum - I think - and 3G is plastic...but just a suggestion)

the origional ones are posiible, but the audience is shrinking everyday due to the iphone 3g...which sadly is plastic and can't be "Darthpodified"

However, Gold_Finger, might I recomend trying this out on ipod nano or classic backs (but if you go through with this idea, be warned, new versions of the nano and classic are rumoured to be released very soon!)

Sure the plastic can't be treated itself, but can you not just remove the plastic and replace it with a new metal back?

Yes, but one would have to make a mold (or something) of the plastic back, because it has a unique shape.
