    Hey there,

I recently did a jailbreak on my ipod touch 2G on firmware version 4 (redsnow). I chose the option to not install cydia. On internet I've read certain articles about jailbreaking being very dangerous because of worms / malware and things. From what I understood, it seemed like
3rd party apps are 'the problem'. Does it mean, that if I don't install cydia and dont download 3rd party apps, that my ipod touch is safe from these problems, even though it's jailbroken? (I jailbroke it for the wallpaper and multitasking)
I know some people think it's rubbish that jailbreaking is dangerous, but I wanted to make sure that my ipod is safe. Is there any other way that malware can possibly damage my ipod except for de apps from cydia / other installers?

    Thanks a lot!

I don't even think that there is malware existing for an iPod or iPhone. Jailbreaking and Cydia is 100% safe.

You will not get any worms, viruses, malware, or viruses (same thing).
