iPod touch 3G 8gb?? Nope. You have what we call a secret-2G. Apple ripped the 8gb of that generation off, they don't have the same insides as the 3G. They have the same insides as the 2G. The only iPod touch 3Gs are: the 32GB, and 64GB.

I wish I could say the same for mine, but I actually do have the 2008 2G: THAT IS BEING DISCONTINUED IN FIRMWARE UPDATES AFTER 4.0

Anyways, I'm buying a 4G like most people. But 50mb free is really good.

Before I restored yesterday, I only would get 30mb free. But now, I have 50mb free

It's all about how much Cydia add-ons and mods you have, especially Winterboard <--ram hog.

I have an iPhone 3G , and as I type this in Mobile Safari on the iPhone, I have 101 MB of free memory. I also have Cydia running in the background, along with Messages and Settings.

Lmao, ipodholic is right. That isn't your RAM.. 209mb is the free storage on '/', which is your root folder. And from my knowledge, iPod Touch 2G models have 128mb RAM, so having 209 would be impossible, even for a 3G which has 256mb RAM.

Yes, everyone's been saying i have "51 availible". The 209 is unused space that can be filled with more cydia apps, etc.
