so I was a real idiot and managed to damage my audio jack when replacing the original back with a darthpod back. I know this because it was working yesterday (before the replacement) and now nothing is producing sound. I realize opening the touch voids the warranty but do u think theres a chance I could stick the original back back on and go to an apple store? or do u have any other suggestion?

Hmm.....if you take it to the apple store definitely. But, how will you explain, you wanted to remove the back............ your kind of in a tight situation.

yea i know, thats where im stuck. but heres a question, how does the warranty on these things work? I didnt buy any plan so all it had was the limited warranty and I bought it from a third party (vanns.com). Do I need to provide a receipt or anything if I did bring it to an apple store? would they even accept it because I didnt buy it from an apple store?
