the problem is when you reboot it's like the iPod has been turned off so the jailbreak is reset.... this was explained somewhere a while ago, if the iPod is turned off ie: battery runs out or in your case reboot, you would need to run the tethered jailbreak again

You have to redo everything after you turn it off? Wow, you must be doing something wrong.
The jailbreak shouldn't reset if you just turn it off.. -_- I don't know what andyboi is saying..

The second-gen iPod touch requires you to re-jailbreak every time you reboot your device.

if you done your reading up before jailbreaking the dev-teams demo video states that its a tethered jailbreak and that whenever you power off the ipod or reboot or battery dies then you have to re-jailbreak...... its a TETHERED jailbreak meaning it needs a mac or PC to work.

They are looking to make permanent jailbreak but as of now the exploit used can only work as long as iPod is not turned off

You don't have to do the whole jailbreak again, just the last couple of steps (and there are tons of programs for that now, like 1ClickBoot).
That way you wont lose any installed applications.

Lol. Do YOU have a 2g (tethered) jailbroken ipod? I don't think so.
If YOU have done your reading up, you do not need to RE-jailbreak it every time you restart it. All you have to do is hook it up to a pc/mac and type in some code to boot it up.
BAM. Please don't act like you're smart when you don't know what you're talking about.

Re jailbreaking reinstalls Cydia and removes all files from the iPod (music/movies/apps)
You only need to load a boot loader/ do the "arm" thing on reboot.
