Cydia won't open after crashing

    Cydia won't open anymore, I was downloading something from cydia while browsing safari when proswitcher crashed, and now cydia won't open, I've respringed and am trying a reboot now, Help?

    Edit: Reboot didn't work, it gets to this screen and then crashes to springboard.

    Protip: Never surf safari when downloading in Cydia, it doesn't take that long, just let cydia do it's thing.


    Have you booted into safe mode and seen if cydia loads in that?

    Wait!

    Did you by any chance get OpenSSH before the crash? Can you connect to the iPod that way?

    Nope, I got ifile though should work, shouldn't it?

    I'm not familiar with iFile...but this is what I would do in WinSCP...

    1. Delete Cydia.app from root/applications
    2. Download Cydia.deb (I'll put download link at bottom.
    3. Put Cydia.deb in the root/tmp folder
    4. Run Terminal in WinSCP and type: "dpkg -i /tmp/cydia.deb"

    With iFile you can select the deb and pop up will ask if you want to install, click installer <~~~auto install no typing. Much easier than using terminal.

    thanks ill try, Ive got mobile terminal and ifile and in ifile it seems I'm already in root an then I can access both those spots so I'll give it a shot

    Did everything up to the last step and this happened
