I have been trying to install apps and repos from Cydia since yesterday afternoon. I am getting a network error on the home page (timed out). When I try for an app, it states the host is unavailable. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes. I've been having trouble for the last few days with this too. Scouring for a fix without having to reJB. Anyone have any ideas?

I've been talking to the man himself, Jay Freeman (Saurik) over the internet and he gave me the solution to the problem. I don't know what it does but it works. You have to go into command prompt on your computer and type the following:

    tracert -d 74.208.105.171

    Should look similar to this:

After a few seconds it will finish and you can exit out. Now try cydia and everything should work fine.

On Mac, just have the same problem right now...

Solved by looking for the Network Utility.app (shift+command+U)

    -Traceroute tab
    -Enter the following : 74.208.105.171

    Worked for me !
    (What a strange issue !)
