blatentley: my cydia is completly blank :|

worked fine after jailbreak, i got a few winterboard themes and all that except now on start up it says
    ERROR: DATABASE
ENCOUNTERED A SECTION WITH NO PACKAGE: HEADER
and so nothing loads up, on my sections theres only all packages, which is empty aswell. when i search nothing comes up too!

i have read other posts and they say to re-jailbreak or restore, but i don't know how to re-jailbreak (do you do it exactly the same way as i did first time or do i need to take the jailbreak off first then put it back on) and if i restore that whipes all my songs and stuff off doesn't it?

someone PLEASE help! i'm quite stuck and desperate here lol

    1) you could try this but im not sure if it will address the problem. http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=220864

    2) you could use redsnow and install Cydia again. (go thru the jailbreak process again, ive never tried it so im not sure.)

    3) Restore. Put your iPod into DFU mode by turning it off and then plug it up to your computer while holding the home button until your PC makes a sound. Then restore to your original firmware and jailbreak again.

thats all i can think of that might help. hope it helps u

Here's how to reinstall Cydia without using redsn0w:

    Code:
    1) Open up terminal
    2) Enter this code (one line at a time):
    [COLOR="Red"]su
    alpine
    apt-get remove cydia
    apt-get install cydia[/COLOR]
    3) Reboot

The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago and I did this with no problems:

    1. SSH into your iPhone/iPod, hopefully you know how to do that.

    2. Go to the root of your iPhone/iPod [/].

    3. Navigate to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list

    4. Download the Cydia.list to your computer and open it using any text editor.

    5. Delete the source you added. For example, "deb http://www.iphone.org.hk/apt/ ./" if this is the source you want to delete, simply delete that one line. NOT THE WHOLE DOCUMENT. Make sure you save the document as is. We are NOT adding any extensions.

    6. Drag the saved document into the sources.list.d folder and replace the file.

    7. Respring.

    ALL DONE!
