    Hello.

I jailbroke my ipod touch, 3.1.2, via blackra1n and it went successfully. For the past few weeks I've been tinkering around, adding new apps, themes, sounds, etc via CYDIA. I'm using cydia because that's all I hear that people are using.

But, my friend let me jailbreak his ipod, and to test it out, I installed rock. I loved it because of it's speed, and modernized looks.

Here's my problem. I already have cydia and a bunch of apps, packages, and themes from it.

I want to try out rock, but I'm afraid I'll mess something up on my ipod. I was thinking of trying both at the same time, but I'm afraid there will be a compatibility problem.

Also, I've been hearing that Rock is very unstable and screws up a lot of ipods/iphones.

    Cydia, rock, or both??

    Thanks for your help.

rock is free of charge, as I tested it on my friend's ipod touch. you do have to register for a free account though (like the forums)

i use to use cydia but since now i use rock.
there's not much difference incept for the speed and backup in rock.
i personally like rock because its quick and easy to use.

one thing though : some sources that work on cydia don't work on rock. but that is only a small amount

Have only had this ipod a week but jailbroke it the day I got it.
Both Rock and Cydia installed but using Rock more because it
is indeed faster. Don't notice any problems with having both.

Would it be worth downloading rock on my ipod? Cydia annoys me too much with the "reloading data" and really slow speeds.
