I want to delete either icy or Cydia for memory conservation! I like Cydia's inter face but i love Icy's speediness! Does Icy offer more packages than Cydia? If I delete Cydia will I have problems?

    Help me out please

    Thx, Torin

ok,i recommend the one you have more repositories entered in. if you have no idea what i just said delete icy for the moment. When icy gets it's act together you can count on Icy to deliver!

Cydia, just because its the standard. Repo owners will make sure their repos will work with cydia. Also, Cydia is the best

with icy you don't have to sit through that annoying reloading data thing but i have tried icy, and just like all of the other ripdev apps, it just isn't as reliable.

(plus i really like the changes tab in cydia, and icy doesn't have it.)

Icy may not have the tab but it still tells you what has updates. in the installed tab there's another tab at the top choosing between installed and updates.

but for the time being I'd go Cydia... stable and can view screenshots and "more info".

I prefer Icy, but keep Cydia around.

Yes it does. In fact, Icy's recent packages view shows everything that was updated recently. Cydia only shows new packages.

Icy does that too (there's a blue arrow button on the package info screen that takes you to the repository's info page).

Sounds like you guys haven't tried Icy since 1.0.
