Cydia not Working

    i just installed 2.2 on my 1Gen iPod touch by using PwnageTool 2.2 but know cydia won't wok it doesn't open at all and i can find openssh in the installer

    well i sound like a spammer but i think a restore then rejailbreak will work just fine

    Just to make sure, when you built the firmware you selected Cydia and all that, then did a Command-Click to upgrade the firmware, right? Option #2 is to use QuickPwn for Mac and then rejailbreak.

    this is the 3rd time i restore my iPod whit the custom restore. i've never used quickpwn my doubt is that if i used the original firmware will i have problems if quickpwn didn't work and restore it whit an custom one?

    No, you shouldn't have issues restoring to custom firmware if you're just using an iPod Touch and QuickPwn doesn't work. However, at the same time, you probably won't need to build custom firmware if you use QuickPwn - the only reason you'd really want to build firmware is if you have an iPhone whose activation status and baseband you need to keep as-is to unlock.

    QuickPwn saved my iPod now Cydia is working
    ------------------double post merged------------------
    and i was thinking first restore to apple's normal firmware then restore once again with the custom one but QuickPwn worked just fine

    yeah me too glad it works now
    now lookig to activate street view on my ipod
