    Hi,

I installed some Apps into my Application Folder via SSH (the same folder where Cydia.app is installed). Now I cannot open Cydia. It jumps back to my home screen everytime. I already tried to reinstall it through ssh but it does not work.

Is there any solution fpr this problem?
What is the permission for the Cydia.app Folder and it Subcontent?

    That's Pretty. Odd.

Did you add the app that you SSH'ed in into the same folder AS Cydia or did you make sure to put it into the Applications folder?

In any case, I just SSH'd into my iPoT and... Cydia has permissions set to 755.

Open Terminal, or Putty, and type chmod -R 0755 /Applications/Cydia.app.

Or, if using WinSCP, navigate to /Applications, and right click Cydia.app folder. Check the box at the bottom that says "Set owner, group, and permissions recursively", and then change permissions to 0755.

Yeah, it seems like a permissions error to me too, try changing to contain folder, and everything inside it to 775.

I am having the same problem with Cydia. All permissions are set to 755 but it just won't open. This happened after I installed customize. Everything was working ok before but now it won't open.

I had this same problem. Fixed it with the help of my good friend Google.

Credit goes to bearbear1982 of modmyifone.com

To reinstall Cydia, use mobile terminal or putty from your pc

    ssh to iphone/ipod and type

apt-get remove cydia (read carefully and when prompted, type Yes, do as I say!

    then

    apt-get install cydia

    Everything worked fine after this.

Will try this when I am back home.

It does not work. This is the Errormessage when I try to delete Cydia:

Ok - my fault. Finally it does work. Just had to ignore the warnings.

Get Rock or Icy. If not then if you jailbroke with blackra1n then you could go to it's springboard icon and reinstall cydia/rock/icy in that.
