    soooo
id apprreciate no flaming or stupid immature comments, but thats the world, so try to keep it light

cydia crashes during "downloading release.gpg" which it continues to do for over a week. in december, i had to restore 4 times and jailbreak 4 times because of this. so i just decided to forget it and try installer. installer still sucks pretty bad, but at least it loads and works (barely)
i did succesfulyl update cydia right after restore the last time. but it STILL crashes. im a little annoyed.
if anyone has same problem, and has fixed it, plz tell me. i have also seen numerous others have this problem

Maybe something is wrong with your device. Cydia easily kills Installer.

    Go in SSH/Terminal.
    Type these commands

    Code:
    apt-get remove cydia

    Yes, do as I say!

    apt-get install cydia

    killall SpringBoard

Well Installer is getting its groove back I guess. Ever since BigBoss stopped making packages for it, Rip-Dev has been putting everything on an extra repo with all of BigBoss' stuff. So BigBoss just made an Installer Repository for it. Other than that, no, Installer is trash and 1/2. Cydia is the only way to get things like Winterboard and Cycorder. (for iPhone 2G's) Plus most themes too.

Cydia crashes for me too. A Respring will usually solve it.

It used to crash on my almost every time i just booted up but it just got an update on the 3rd or the 4th i believe and now it seems much more reliable for me. No crashes yet, faster updating, and it doesn't update every time you open it, only every other day you open it. Or unless you tell it to.
