Hi I'm getting an error everytime I try to download a package stating "method http has died unexpectedly method /usr/lib/apt/methods/http did not start correctly" I can't find any help online and I've been stuck like this for 3 days. I have an iPod touch 3G 64gb on 4.0. I've tried reinstalling mobile substrate with no luck, any insight would be appreciated, thanks

You could try find a deb file for rock, and see wether that helps you. Have you tryed deleting cydia and then reinstalling?

Go to the CydiaInstaller package and reinstall.

Through ifile or ssh. If you wanted to reinstall it youd need to download the deb file of cydia , put in a random directory, open with ifile, install, reboot. DONE

    BTW; cydia is in var/stash/applications

You can delete Cydia using Cydelete (and turn off Cydia protection in settings). iFile can install .debs ^_^
