Mine did crash earlier today, even to the point where my iPod switched off. But I opened it again, it said it was repairing but it had crashed again. I locked it by accident and then it wouldnt unlock, so i restarted (holding the two buttons for about 7 seconds) and it works fine.

Long story but it might help someone

    Solution

I had this problem yesterday. It's most likely one of your sources that is causing the problem. SSH into your ipod/iphone and navigate to /private/etc/apt/sources.list.d, you have to delete all sources that are not trusted (trusted being things like saurik.list, bigboss.list, stc.) Make sure you backup all sources, I just copied all them to my desktop. Pwncenter was the cause for me. I just readded it in cydia and everything works

    . Hope it helps.

P.S. cydia.list has all the sources you added manually. To delete them individually, open it with any text editor.

    Other solution

hmmm.... You can try to reinstall cydia. Go to mobileterminal and type these commands:
    su

    alpine

apt-get remove cydia (to be safe)

    apt-get install cydia

if nothing works try restoring and re- jailbreaking
