My iPod Touch is a 3rd Gen running 3.1.2 Jailbroken, since my router is broken as of now, I can't access Cydia so my only other option is to use Cyder... BUT

After I downloaded a file from Cyder and try to Copy is to "Cydia Cache" it just won't go though. It flashes for a moment and does nothing. :x

Am I even suppose to copy it into the Cydia Cache?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    i believe i've read somewhere Cyder doesn't support 3.1.2
i am currently having similar trouble with Cyder, as i don't have wifi at home, and Cyder won't sync my sources to my pc.

but i believe you have to copy the files into Autoinstall, not Cache

Cyder supports 3.1.2, I use them both
But it doesn't install the packages for you.
I had the same problem. If you can get to some
wifi use Cydia to get iFile.

    Open iFile and navigate to
    /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall

Any Cyder downloaded packages will be
there. To install them tap the desired package
(should be .deb) and then tap installer when
    the popup appears.
The package should then be installed

I copy to both the 'Cydia Cache' and
'AutoInstall Folder' just to be safe

    Hope I helped somehow

    Not that I know of...
Perhaps if you have a friend with
Cydia installed you can copy it
over to your iPod via SSH?
That's all I can think of atm,
    but I'll do some research

ok so after some puzzling i managed to get cyder working somehow.
after you downloaded your packages you must restart cyder to get it to add the packages to the Autoinstall folder.
then press Sync PC To iPod and when that's done reboot your device. Then open Cydia, go to Manage packages, and click the package you just installed (to make sure it appears on the SpringBoard). then respring and there's a job well done!
