Ok I have openssh turned on, on my ipod. I have auto lock turned to never.

    I make a new SFTP (SHH2) Site...

Label the new site as ipod.

I put in the correct ip address.

I put in root as the username.

I put in alpine as the password.

I have the port turned to 22.

Then I get Error #7. It says this:

    *** CuteFTP 8.0 - build Feb 6 2007 ***

    STATUS:> [1/6/2008 4:19:10 PM] Getting listing ""...
    STATUS:> [1/6/2008 4:19:10 PM] Initializing SFTP21 module...
    STATUS:> [1/6/2008 4:19:10 PM] Connecting to SFTP server... 192.168.1.101:22 (ip = 192.168.1.101)...
ERROR:> [1/6/2008 4:19:14 PM] Connection to the server was lost, and the operation could not be performed.
    ERROR:> [1/6/2008 4:19:14 PM] Can't connect to 192.168.1.101:22. SFTP21 error = #7.
    STATUS:> [1/6/2008 4:19:14 PM] SFTP21 connection closed.

I can't figure out how to fix this can somebody help me?

Hmm... it looks to me like you're doing everything right. I'd try another program such as WinSCP, to determine if it is just the program or something else.

Cannot initialize SFTP protocol. Is the host running a SFTP server?

    Try reinstalling OpenSSH on installer?
