This is a discussion thread for the "Cut your SIM down!" story posted on the front page.
Seems a lot easier than expected. Good to know, or else I'll have to look into O2's horrendous smartphone plans over here.
Would someone please explain the logic of this to me? If micro sims are going to be offered for free, what is the point of trimming down mini sims for phone activation? Is this simply a matter of convenience?
1) If you're on a carrier which isn't yet offering MicroSIMs - Like me and my brother. We're both on T-Mobile in the UK which haven't even announced iPhone prices yet, let alone started to worry about MicroSIMs
2) You're on a great contract / deal which you don't want to give up. I top up £10 a month and get unlimited texts and data usage. And yes, it's PROPER unlimited, no cap.
Meat cleaver method?
Good job hope you enjoy it! Crappy T-Mobile Service though is that just where you live or do you get good service where you live just not at your house?
It's good enough. Most times it's full bars with 3G... it just looks like I recorded at the wrong time of day. Haha. O2 gets No Service at all in my whole village... I was stuck with them for half a year and I couldnt receive calls in my own house.. Please Register or Log in to view images

Is that you in the video?
Yes, that's him.
@Abc: I thought the iPhone 4 was incompatible with T-Mobile's 3G?
Or is that only in the U.S.?
Separate names with a comma.
