When I try to use customize, it just opens and then crashes. Anyone know why and have a way of solving it??

I've been having this too ?
I'd like a fix as well.

Was it recently installed? Do you have any local themes stored? If the answer to the first is 'yes' or the second is 'no', then you're hooped and need to dump a theme into the iPod for Customize so it can start up in offline mode.

Of course, why you'd WANT to use it now is another question... unless of course you can't figure out WinterBoard despite its copious amount of documentation.

I use it for editing my system strings.
I don't know how to use it at all aside from that.

And, as has been posted here a hundred times, you can edit those system strings with WinterBoard. There's even a theme with examples in it in the Tutorials forum.
