    Hey there,

    I just did Ziphone's jailbreaking to 1.1.4 and got everything going smoothly until I decided to use Customize.

    I have Danimator's Customize 5.3 version. I go to it to try and make it so I can use 5 dock icons, and I try to change my applications order around and when I restart springboard nothing changes, as if it didn't even notice that I had changed it. I then go back into customize and the applications are in the order that I left them but they don't correspond on the springboard.

    Has anybody had this happen to them, and if so, did you fix it? How did you do it?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    And also, I liked the "Skip Last Row" feature in Summerboard, but for some reason it isn't there anymore, can someone explain this to me and possibly tell me how I can change it?

    I used Skylars custom customize found in this repo: ipodtouched.net/repo.xml

    Open a terminal window (SSH) and type

    ln -s /private/var/root/Library/Customize /private/var/mobile/Library/Customize

    Install a customize theme. Make sure a folder is created in /private/var/root/Library

    Then in a terminal window type

    /bin/chmod +s /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

    that should do it

    Alright, I got the Jan App pack too so the skip the last row doesn't matter too much... But I don't think summerboard is working correctly either...

    I want it to not theme the dock and it doesn't change anything when I change it to Off... IS there a specific Summerboard app for 1.1.4 that I should have downloaded? I just downloaded the one in installer, wasn't sure if it was the right one or not.

    The repo that you told me to go to only allows me to download the 1.1.3 skylar version and it won't let me use it on 1.1.4.

    I saw some german ones that used Skylar's customize but I wasn't sure if they were... Uh German? lol should I just download the other one?

    I just downloaded the German one, as well as the springboard strings fix and nothing worked... Can someone please double check this?

    This isn't a problem. Just SSH into your Ipod and then navigate to :

    /System/Library/CoreServices

    Then open SystemVersion.plist

    You will see this:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>BasedOn</key>
    <string>Tahoe4A86</string>
    <key>ProductBuildVersion</key>
    <string>4A102</string>
    <key>ProductCopyright</key>
    <string>1983-2007 Apple Inc.</string>
    <key>ProductName</key>
    <string>OS X</string>
    <key>ProductVersion</key>
    <string>1.1.4</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>

    Change what I made bold to 1.1.3 and save the file.

    Then install Skylar's Customize.

    Then re-open the systemVersion.plist and change the version back to 1.1.4

    That's it.

    Argh!! I'm getting so frustrated...

    Some things for customize work and some things don't... I don't understand!!

    I want to hide some icons and let there be 5 dock icons instead of 4, but the springboard isn't changing when I change it in Customize, I have used the terminal to change the chmod and what not, but it doesn't work at all, it is very annoying.

    I was able to get a custom carrier image however, so some things are working and others are not... Has anybody tried hiding applications or increasing the dock application limit?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
