    Customize.app (Custom) Disappeared? There's A Reason V1.22

I am writing this because of the numerous threads asking about the Customize (Custom) by our own SkylarEC. There is a reason he took it down. There is now a new version, 1.22 on their googlepage here: http://code.google.com/p/customize/

    1) Download the Customize 1.22
    2) Extract it.
    3) SSH into your Touch, then drop it into /Applications
    4) Then, run these commands

    EXCERPT:
    SkylarEC's post.
    1. Download it and put it on your iPhone or iPod
    2. Run this in SSH or Terminal
    /bin/chmod -R 0755 /Applications/Customize.app
    3. Run this in SSH or Teminal
    /bin/chmod +s /Applications/Customize.app/Customize
    4. Run this in SSH or Teminal
    chmod 0755 /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

Hopefully, this will help many of you out.

Also, if it does not seem to be working, themes downloaded via installer not appearing, and you are one 1.1.3 or later, it seems there is not a symlink so run this command

    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Media/ /private/var/root/Media/

or add this source and download off of installer http://allipodhax1.3host.biz/index.xml and then try the fix. I have no experience with this, but try it either way. gl

lol, one more thing. If it crashes then the solution is most likely this odd fix. At the default image, chicken or whatever, tap it with 2 fingers repeatedly. you may have to do this several times, but it will work eventually if permissions are correct.

srry for not responding, just got done with surgery and all this yesterday, so recovering

This will save the community a lot of grief until v1.22 gets up on a repo. It kind of is a shame that this has to be posted...

So does this work on 1.1.4 without hacking stuff up?

By hacking stuff up he meant dissecting every bits and pieces of the darn Customize app, transferring here and there, chowning here and there, crapping here and there... WHICH IS SOOOOOOO FRICKING TIRING!

it should, if it doesnt then u just need to create a symlink for ur media folders by running this command

    ln -s /private/var/mobile/Media/ /private/var/root/Media

this should work, im in the middle of "experimenting with my touch"

it will either be compatibility or just bug fixes or something of this nature. i recently had to restore to test for a fw, so i dont remember. thespicychicken hasnt mentioned it, but 1.22 is the reason skylar took his custom one down

4th Step I got this message in Putty:

    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/arm-apple-darwin/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib
    Referenced from: /Applications/Customize.app/Customize
    Reason: image not found
    zsh: trace trap /Applications/Customize.app/Customize

Restarted iPod, then tried to open Customize.app and it crashed
