here's an easy step by step on how to make your own sliders.

    Step 1: Create a Slider
Create a 72pxl by 47pxl slider icon that best suits what you like and save it as a .png file (you can photoshop or whatever but i like keeping things simple, so i use seashore and paint.)

Step 2: put the slider on your ipod
SSH the created file to var/root/Library/Customize/MainSliderImages/BackUp

    Step 3: Set the Slider
under the Main Slider option in Customize select your newly created slider to be your Main slider image

now exit Customize and let your springboard restart. once it does you will see your new impressive slider. enjoy and help make and publish cool sliders

attached is a Red Scare, Soviet Union slider that i created and am currently using simply SSH it into the proper folder and enjoy

Do you realize your .png that you uploaded is 70 x 47?

I made a 71px by 41px slider and it's not tall enough.. You may want to edit your writeup to reflect the changes. I'll be working on my slider variants and post up when i'm done.

For now, my contribution is a slider remover. If you just want the badassery of not needing a slider at all.

i chanaged the text in the " spring board strings" for the "slide to unlock"
but it does not seem to be keeping the change@!!! spring board restarts but the test is the same original one... and if i go back to customize i see the orignal text there!????

Just one other point of interest: you can make the slider MUCH wider than 71px, which will allow you to unlock with less motion. I increased mine to 250 px (most of it transparent) so that unlocking just requires a small flick instead of the large swipe.
