Hey guys since I didn't get my Macbook for my birthday because my dad wouldn't tip in I was thinking maybe I could build a custom PC.

Well I spent an hour on newegg looking up parts and this is what I came up with...

    http://secure.newegg.com/Shopping/ShoppingCart.aspx?submit=ChangeItem

If i'm missing any parts please tell me.

EDIT: NVM link doesn't bring you to MY cart -.-..

oay. just make sure you have some Good Solid essentials.

and if you want. since you are building one yourself, you should probably try to make a hackintosh if you want OSX..

Remember to get your hardware accordingly.

ive been slowly working up a good PC building guide. Im hoping to have all the info so that anyone can confidently build their own pc and hopefuly not waist money on parts that wont work. Look for it in the next day or so.

try a nicer mobo: Asus P5K anyone? (which is supported on kalyway! yay!)
HDD: Samsung spinpoint F1 1TB (just awesome...way faster than yours..and is dirt cheap)
GPU..errmm...wait a few months for a good midrange GeForce 280
RAM: Be carful there...if not using a 64 bit OS you maybe wasting your money...and what brand..timings? overclockablity?
    CPU: yeah...
Thought about a case and PSU yet..those are the most important! a steady power supply and good cooling is fundimental!! (Case: Antec P180, PSU: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 650W)
Aftermarket CPU cooler: Arctic freezer 7 Pro
    ODD: DVD-RW or blu-ray? (I'd go for the blu ray...pioneer make a good one..the BDC-2BK)
OS? Hackintosh, Vista Xp linux? can you get OEM?
    TV Card?

All I can say is thank you! I have been wanting to make a equal-to top of the line gaming computer, but I just haven't had the right guide. Could you PM me when this is done?
