Is there a way to use the sounds from the voice memo app as your alarm sound without using itunes? just directly from the iphone, like by using ifile, and copying a sound file to a certain folder?

Create a ".m4r" file in iTunes (or other audio converter) by creating a ".m4a" file and changing the extension to ".m4r". Find your voice memos in "/var/mobile/library/recordings" (somewhere near there I think, otherwise search the "mobile" folder). Find your ".m4a" file and rename the extension to ".m4r". Copy the file(s) into the "/Library/Ringtones" folder and you're done, it will show up in your clock app and as a custom ringtone.
