your useragent is the following, so the detection is correct..

    Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; ja-jp) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/3A110a Safari/419.3

try upgrading to firmware 1.1.1 f you haven't already

Odd... I got mine brand new from Apple and is using 1.1.1 firmware... It was, in fact, restored yesterday morning when I was bored and wantted to try the restore process...

I'll try to restore it again tonight when I have time; but I wonder if it could be because I changed my interface to Japanese (POOR localization?)

BTW, if you have strange technical questions about the forum, feel free to email me directly. Check my email address for the reason I offered it, but please don't share that

Or even better, fire it to both myself and support@ in case if I don't pick it up fast enoug (IE: on commute between home and campus)

Edit: Checked just now.. resetting regions doesn't seem to change it... my firmware must be very special >___>
