So I finally upgraded and jailbroke 1.1.3. All is good. I've only installed a couple of essentials (OpenSSH, BSD, BossTool), But I just noticed a couple of oddities as I poke around in the shell.

1. df reports the following;

Filesystem 512-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/disk0s1     573416   570136       0   100%    /
devfs                30       30       0   100%    /dev
/dev/disk0s2   31103856 28627408 2476448    92%    /private/var
Is this right? The app partition has doubled in size (600mb) and there is no free space on it?

2. After moving the applications to /private/var with BossTool, the Applications directory off the root doesn't show that it's a link. What I should see is this:

lrwxrwxr-x   21 root  admin   714 Jan 28 22:03 Applications -> /private/var/Applications
What I do see is this:

drwxrwxr-x   21 root  admin   714 Jan 28 22:03 Applications
And yet, when I cd into it, it does indeed go to /private/var/Applications. This is strange behaviour. It's a symbolic link, but it doesn't show that it is. BossTool doesn't get it either because it continues to think that the Applications directory hasn't yet been moved.

What gives?
