The other day I was in an apple store and fooled with the new iPod Nanos. I noticed in the settings that there was a new option called "cross-fade playback" which as you can guess would do just that - just like in iTunes. So I was wondering, why can't I do this on my iPod Touch? I think it would be soooo easy for Apple to include this feature in a software update, but yet they still haven't. I'm also waiting for a graphic EQ.....but looks like that will never happen either....

Is there something i'm missing here? Whats the problem?

    Google is your friend.

I guess they just decided not to include it... maybe it's a feature of 2.2?

Cross fade means, at the last 1~2 seconds of the song, the volume fades to cross over to the next song to give it an effect.

    Catch my drift?

There's shake to shuffle on the Nano, but not on the Touch. There's cross fade on the Nano, but not on the Touch. I feel like we're getting ripped off.

I Agree! We have an accelerometer which can be for shake to shuffle and the software can have crossfade added. I don't get it. Why the is Apple doing this to us?!

Same here. I was thinking the same thing.

Don't worry, Apple with come out with 3.0.1 (for only a $9.99 charge unless you spend $229 on a whole new iPod) and that software will "fix" these features.
