My friends and I always play multiplayer games like Nova but with bluetooth you can only have 2 people playing at the same time is there any way to create a wlan network off of your ipod for multiplayer?

    Not going to happen.

Even if you managed to create one, the iPod broadcasting it wouldn't be able to connect to it.

I use my Nokia E51 and JoikuSpot to make an ad-hoc network, just so I can play Real Racing with friends.

Here's the deal - because it is an ad-hoc network and not an infrastructure network (like your wireless router), the speed of the connection is slow (or something similar, correct me please), the games only allow a limited amount of players. Real Racing makes sure I know that I'm connected to an ad-hoc network and limits my races to 2 players.

I don't know about other games, but if you use a WLAN creation app on your iPod/iPhone, it's almost guaranteed to be an ad-hoc network and not all apps will work with ad-hoc connections for Local WiFi matches.

    My two cents there.
