    Hey,

I recently had my iPod tank due to that dumb 113 prep software. Im such an idiot >.> Anyway, i was wondering how exactly you went about making a backup or restore point of your ipod, and then how you physically restore it to that part if, say, i had to restore my ipod back to factory defaults. After i lost all my settings / apss the first time, i definately dont want it to happen again.

    Thanks!

What you can do is SSH or use Total Commander and copy the root directory to a file on your computer. To restore your stuff after a crash, you'd just copy your saved root directory and overwrite the one on your iPod.

To restore to factory defaults, you can either hit the restore button in iTunes, or if it doesn't work: http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2790
