    Hello,
my brand new iPodT wanted to call home ( daddy apple),but I've 'intercept' the transmission... , I hope it could help somehow...
As you will see it is question of BluetoothManager...

    Here is the log:

So even if the iPodT is not Bluetooth, that means it is really the same as the iPhone...

I think Apple was sloppy in porting from the iPhone.

But I still wish the iPod Touch has secret Bluetooth.

    I won't give up hope.

If there is no actual bluetooth chip on the iPod Touch, how it could get bluetooth? It's more like seeing bluetooth driver on your windows / osx without having a bluetooth chip on your pc / mac.

Although the crash log news is old, but it gave me some thoughts today. Judging from the log, it seems that there are quite a lot of iphone stuff loaded into the ipot memory, eg, telephony, bluetooth, etc. If apple could take those out, it would mean that we have a more efficient ipot.

That's not the key here from how I see it...
The key here would mean that the unit have built in bluetooth support; and I'd be willing to wait for someone to hax up an expansion (like FM transmitter) for bluetooth to work with my iPod Touch. Then, I can get a bluetooth headset and use my iPod Touch to make skype calls etc.

It's all just built into the operating system as standard, and since iPhone and iTouch have the same operating system... Miraculously it has the same drivers pre-installed. It's turning into a Conspiracy Theory lmao. Until there is hard evidence that someone has enabled bluetooth hardware and used it in the iTouch, there is NO bluetooth in the iTouch.

Yes, but granted...people are making a point. There may not be a bluetooth chip in the device, however...it has the support for bluetooth. So still we may be able to see that little icon up by the battery icon for bluetooth, but only with an add-on like for previous ipods.

(and I know that what I've just said has been said a million times before, just reiterating)
