crashed while updating!!!!!! itunes failing to restore

    hi guys, i recently tryed up dating my ipod touch 2nd gen to the latest firmwere, im not quite sure what happened but it failed and now my ipod is in recovery mode. i tryed to restore but it failed as well i think it was error 12, and then 13, i repeated then itunes failed altogether, after about 5 hours i managed to get itunes working again after a massive amount of reinstalls but now its not detecting my ipod. my ipod hasent been jailbroke and has no mods

    i will very gratefull for any help

    yes, think its been out a bit but i only just updated, can any 1 help with getting itunes to detect my ipod again?

    go into dfu and restore.

    my pod is showing the plug in to itunes sign, is that dfu mode? if not how to get in dfu mode? thanks

    Hold the power and home button down for ten seconds. Count to yourself or use a timer. After those ten seconds release the power button, and hold the home button for another ten seconds. Then release, and it should be in DFU mode. If its not then you didn't do it right. Do it again.

    use your computer clock to help with the timing.

    ok thanks guys. do i need my ipod plugged in and itunes open? and how will i no its worked?

    ok i think my ipod is in dfu mode, its screen is blank and it wont turn on but itunes still hasnt detected it. any ideas guys? i cant think what to possibly do
