    Srsly, it's basically a massive pane of glass, so I'd expect it to break. You'd need to be pretty stupid to drop it though.

    Then you are screwed. That would really suck but maybe it's just karma for buying into Apple's scheme. This thing isn't worth $500+ in my opinion.

    It gets sent to the Apple care hospital. Nice artist's conception of a cracked screen, though.

    edit: if, for some reason, this thread was a legitimate question, Apple warranties don't cover accidental damage. In other words, you are SOL.

    If you buy it with most American Express cards or other "higher-end" credit cards, they usually have purchase protection which protects new purchases against theft and accidental damage for 30-90 days.
