PictureFlow, a widget to show your pictures (Need beta testers!)

    Beta Release Candidate 3 [RC3]
Get it here: View attachment PictureFlow[RC3].zip

PictureFlow is a new widget designed to display your pictures and flip through them automatically. To see what it looks like, just take a look at the attached images.

    Upgraders from RC1:
Please navigate to /Library/Application Support/ and delete the folder Coverflow. It isn't used in RC2 and would only take up (an incredibly small amount of) space.

Any issues/bugs/thanks, email me at meikura@gmail.com

    Thanks,
    Meikura.

I'm asking if there is much demand for a widget/screensaver which displays your pictures in a coverflow-esque fashion.

The screensaver version is pretty much complete

But the widget has to use external XML files and my XML application I've written still needs work.

OK, take Coverflow.qtz and put it in [your user area]/Library/Screen Savers/

Then go into system preferences, Screen Saver and click Coverflow.

Just a reminder: This is alpha software, designed on a 12" iBook. Therefore, other users may have strange graphical errors due to image placement for my screen size/aspect ratio. Please take screenshots and help when possible if anything dodgy happens

EDIT: Deleted old n busted, adding new hotness up at the top.

    Thanks!

Give it time... you'll get some views when people get home at 5 o clock

EDIT: you might also want to stick that zip file in your first post so people can find it easier

sounds like a great idea, i downloaded it dragged it into the directory and it just says [No Images Please Wait While Loading] then goes onto a black screen, i am on a 20" iMac.

Be cool if it worked though!

I'll have a look into it now and see if I can figure out what's going wrong. That screensaver version is quite old now (compared to current builds) so I'll be uploading a newer, updated version, along with the widget very shortly.

Also, youtube video will be coming soon when I've finished adding titles in iMovie.
