i have a couple of q's about the ipod 3g. this summer, i just got a 2g and i really would use the built in wifi with 3g.
q 1. Does the wifi work anywhere, anytime, and is it reliable?
q 2. can you send your 2g to apple and pay less for 3g? Sony does this w/ psp.

Wifi works when your in a wifi network. That's it. And yes, it's reliable.
I'm pretty sure you can't do this. And I have no idea for PSP.

The only change as far as wifi goes is the possibility of having n instead of b/g but apple hasn't released it in the firmware. I think you may be confusing 3G which stands for 3rd generation with the 3G cell networks
