okay so first of all, I really want to jailbreak my iPod Touch. what's holding me back is that I have a 2 year warranty for it from Best Buy which covers all damages.

I'm afraid of my warranty being voided if anything is to happen to my iPod.
should I take the risk or not?

also, how can I jailbreak my iPod 3G EMC model? when i first got it, my brother said there wasn't a jailbreak for MC models yet. will that one jailbreaking website work?

Use greenpois0n as it's the only tool that really supports your device.
If You want your warranty back just restore back to the stock os
And I think you mean MC Model

. All problems caused by jailbreaking can be fixed by a restore. Also if something else goes wrong restore, it'll erase all traces of a jailbreak and as of right now Greenpois0n (greenpois0n.com) is the only jailbreak that'll work with your iPod.

alright so I'm really thinking of jailbreaking now but one more question. how do people get their devices 'bricked'?

I want to know before I jailbreak and get a 'completely bricked' iPod.

I was searching up topics on the forum and there was a case of someone's iPod being 'completely bricked'

Unless you have broken buttons all you have to do is put the device into DFU to remove the jailbreak.

    okay so before I jailbreak.

    1. I can restore it and the jailbreak will be gone
    2. my iPod Touch won't get 'bricked' ?

cause if it gets bricked, I'm screwed.

1.If you restore, the ipod OS will be brand new, out of the package. no jailbreak. no trace of jailbreak. Your warranty is fine.
2.Bricking is not easy. Most people that are "bricked" just dont know how to DFU restore.
As long as you dont physically damage the ipod itself. you should be okay.
