There's an application called iBoot in Cydia, could it be possible to make another booting application that sends commands so that the iPod Touch 2G boots up instead of having to connect to computer.

If you say it isn't possible, please provide a "WHY IT ISN'T POSSIBLE"
    That is all.

I don't what you mean, but i meant a jailbroken iPod, and i doesn't seem as something harder than an actual jailbreak.

Remember what the purpose of the Tethered Jailbreak was? Once the device reboots, it goes back to the state where signature checks go back in place. Something along those lines.

Everything you do in while the iPod is running the iPhone OS will have no effect on what is run or done in the boot process which included the kernel, iBoot, and iBSS, along with LLB. That being said, the only way to successfully boot into the iPhone OS while on a tethered jailbreak is to be connected to your computer to send the redsn0w commands to bypass signature checks.

    Why it isn't Possible:

Your iPod is off? How the hell will you run anything if it's off?
Seems simple enough to me. =P

Someone got my point, i find it possible since it can be made that the iPod can read it even when it's off.
