After exactly a week of jailbreaking, my volume rockers broke. Would the jailbreak effect this?

prboably not, just restore, make an appointment with apple, and bring it in for a fix, and they might give you a new one. just a thought

the checksums of a firmware file have nothing to do with the jailbreak released. what are you talking about?

Who said it was physically broken? It could be its just not working, like not actually turning it up or down.
