    hi everyone,

so i'm really new to this whole ipod stuff... and recently i purchased a 2G ipod touch (8g).

when i got home and synced my music and videos onto my touch... within an hour or so.. i realised on the little timeline in itunes... the ORANGE colour that stands for "OTHER" filled up to 2G :O

I don't have any of those weird jailbreak things, i don't use any of those program things called Cydia? or icy?
i just bought the ipod, synced my music and videos on it.. and this happened :S

so i don't really know what to do!
i already tried reseting it, by clicking on the RESET button on my itouch.... but the orange stuff was still there....

    could anyone please help?
    i would really appriciate it!

the other stuff is all of your app caches, game saves, notes, ringtones, system files and similar stuff combined. but since you didnt install any shizz there isnt really any reason why there wouild be so much other. try restoring through iTunes and rejailbreaking

but try making a DFU restore, because i heard that a simple restore wont erase everything

What you have to do is :

    .turn off your ipod

.make sure its connected to the computer

    make sure its off

hold both buttons pressed for exactly 10 seconds (you can use a stopwatch)

after 10 seconds, release the power button, the one is upsise

if your computer recongnizes your ipod, and itunes says it found a device in recovery mode, your done,

    Hold SHIFT, and press Restore
