    hey i was wondering for a mic could i just strip a dock conector then strip my mike then connect am 2 gether?

    or could i just plug my mike into my headphone slot? (i tried this before i don't think it worked but i maybe i did it wrong)

    not likely. you would have to connect the wires back almost seemlessly, and connect the right ones to the right ones..

    i have a sodering gun i could use, and if i where to figure out with wires where right would it work?

    cool you would have to allow the iPod/iPhone to allow audio in via the headphone socket, which is more hardware i think than software, for that to work

    you have to have the right pins connected to the right wires for this to work for a mic.
