My iPod Touch 1G is Jailbroken..

If I had a problem with it, with one of the AppStore applications which are legal (as in not cracked) or a problem with any other application which Apple should be familiar with (as in non-jailbroken ones)..

Could I take my iPod touch to the Apple Store and ask them for help, or will I get told off..

If you restore then no, if it is visibly clear that it is jailbroken then yes they will refuse

its not illegal, but it voids the warranty, therefore apple wont work on it

Remove the app. Reinstall and reboot your ipod. Try this first. If that doesnt work, then maybe take it to apple store. Dunno if I would go through all the steps to restore, take to apple, re-jb, reset all my custom themes, re-intall all my music, vids and apps unless the app giving me problems was one I dearly love.
