it cant work on it. ipodt doesnt use a wireless carrier. so you would have to edit the sms app to send out e-mails... and whats the point in that?

There is no need, there is a website that can allow you to send free text messages from your iphone or touch.

I know, but you have to admit that that is pretty awesome still.
I will post the link to the website momentarily.

    The link is : http://sms.dynadel.com/

All you would have to do is get your text messages forwarded to your e-mail address somehow, then, use the SMS sender and put your e-mail address as the sender.

    AMIRITE?!

I signed up for a new gmail account just for my ipod touch. I forwarded all the old mail to my new account and synced it with gmail. It's kind of nice knowing when you get an e-mail just from looking at your ipod..and even being able to respond...

I just feel like it's defintly possible... and I want it now!

I'm sure someone can figure this out
