how about a case with something either permanently attached or able to be snapped on/off.

the panel would have a series of joysticks.buttons to match the different emulators avaialable (would be interchangeable) and on the other side the buttons/joysticks would have some soft stylus material. so you move the joystick down and it hits the up button, but maybe there could be a mod in the apps so up is down and left is right.

and push buttns makes the sensitive pads underneath tap the screen.

    just a thought.

actually berky i was thinking of something similar

for example for typing and mp3 player functionalities.

to be able to do it while not really lookin at the itouch/iphone

have a couple ideas, just havent had time to do a prototype for it.

I decided to persue this project, I mocked up a prototype, so here it is. This is just a dock one, I will make several other mock ups.

that looks cool - but its not what I meant.

I mean something that actually pushes stylus's into the screen to hit the onscreen buttons.

I'd be happy with any physical controller.

Oh that wouldn't make much sense, I thought you meant, like a psp shell, where the ipod gets pushed into.

The touch screen only responds to human touch, so that button idea wouldnt work. a dock controller could, tho.

no it reacts to any heat-conducting material. try using the back of a thick pen or a pencil wrapped in aluminum foil. they work.

oh so like, when you hit a button, something connected to the joystick thing, hits the screen?
