when you double click the home button, there is the simple mode of music. When you keep touching the button used to turn the volume up and down, at the same time triple click the home button, everything will return to home screen and a circle running around. like in less than 10 seconds, system will go to the same thing as you just wake up(the place you need to "slide to unlock").

    It's a bug, and it's old.

An old one but I just noticed it last week by accident myself. I wasn't sure if it was a bug or a 'feature'...

Nevertheless, Apple knows how to make a GOOD bug so it seems. LOL

Mine doesn't do such a thing. I held the volume button (up or down) and hit the home button 3 times. It thinks the volume button is still held after I let go and now the speaker icon won't go away...haha

You double tap the home button, hold the volume button on the screen, then triple tap the homescreen again. It should work

this is simply restarting the springboard, on a jailbroken ipod with mobile substrate this will respring your ipod into safe mode, which means it's a bug, it is just crashing the springboard.
