Would it be possible with the new bluetooth or some other way to control your ipod with your computer like the remote on the ipod controls the computer music but in reverse....

I threw together a binary a while back called playTrack (it's available in Cydia right now).

Just open up an SSH connection, and yo can control your media:
    • playTrack --next
    • playTrack --previous
    • playTrack --random

It is open source, and my PocketTouch framework headers are publicly available, so adding features to this will be super easy. Simply create a function such as --pause (or whatever you want to call it) and have that function call the playOrPause function within my framework. It will either play or pause the song appropriately according to playback state.
