I bought a Touch on Friday and have been wrestling with getting Wi-Fi working. I know I was connecting successfully because my Touch was issued an IP address (via DHCP) from my router.

I saw one suggestion to try connecting to your router's IP address (i.e. 192.168.1.1). This worked so it proved Wi-Fi wasn't the issue, it was DNS which basically translates www.google.com to the underlying IP address.

I stumbled onto the the following link as soon as I replaced with the DNS addresses issued from DHCP with just IP address of my router Safari, iTunes, etc work great now.

    http://andrewescobar.com/archive/20...i-fi-dns-settings-to-connect-to-the-internet/

I had looked through every Google link I could find and this was the only one that nailed the issue! I hope this helps.
